We pride ourselves on our ability to create longstanding relationships with our clients to give you and your investments the close attention you need and deserve.

What is “Fee-Only” compensation?

We charge fees based on a percentage of assets under management. We do not receive commissions from securities transactions or from the sale of investment products. We do not receive mutual fund 12b1 fees. A small portion of our revenue is derived from hourly fees for those clients who engage us only for consultations or financial planning services and are not yet ready to place assets under management.


Do you have minimum requirements for new clients?

So that we may provide all of our clients with the highest quality personalized service, our minimum portfolio for new clients is $500,000. (Exceptions may be made for family members of our existing clients.)

What kind of communication and reports can I expect from GFC regarding my investments?

You will receive a comprehensive performance report from our office on a quarterly basis. We will also keep you closely informed on our actions and provide frequent market updates.

Additionally you may access your private account(s) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via our secure investment tracking partner: NetExchange Investor™
which provides up-to-date information about your portfolio, statements, free stock quotes and headline news.

What type of attention will my investments and I receive from your firm?


We continually monitor and service your accounts through data downloads, reviews of your statements, research and correspondence.

At GFC, we believe that ongoing management of your portfolio is essential because today’s global economic environment is constantly changing: financial markets are fluctuating as never before; the political scene appears more volatile; and our monetary policy is at times unpredictable. If we couple these ingredients with the thousands of investment choices available, we conclude that constant supervision is paramount.

It is also important to note that financial planning is not a once in a lifetime effort, but an ongoing process. Your original plan, simply put, is an initial “road map” to guide you towards achieving certain goals. Once in place, your plan will need to be periodically reviewed and updated to meet your changing circumstances. We, as advisors, cannot perform our job without your ongoing cooperation and it is important that we be kept abreast of changes affecting your financial life. We therefore recommend annual reviews of your personal financial situation.

Do you accept clients from outside California?

Yes. We welcome, serve and have excellent relationships with clients from many parts of the United States. In these situations communications occur through personal meetings (when possible), conference calls, regular mail and email.

Do you sell insurance products?

As a service to our existing clients, Anita O'Connor is licensed to sell insurance (term and whole life) and fixed annuities in the state of California (California Insurance License #0625508).


How do I get started?

Contact our office at your convenience via email or telephone (310) 440-1400 to arrange for an initial interview. We will ask that you complete our Risk Tolerance Questionnaire and Data Questionnaire - Suitability Form in preparation for your appointment. Given the confidential information asked for on these questionnaires, and the fact that email submission via the Internet is not secure, please do not email your questionnaires. Instead please return them via U.S. mail or simply bring them in with you to your appointment.
